The Ericsson Cradlepoint W2255 offers a new class of adapter that delivers reliable 5G connectivity and highly resilient failover for a superior Wireless WAN experience. It achieves this through high-performance 5G SA (standalone) with faster failover, network slicing support, and multi-WAN resiliency that can include low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite integration. Designed for enterprise scale, the W2255 supports zero-touch deployment and secure out-of-band management through Ericsson NetCloud.

## Flexible Installation and Deployment Options
The W2255 provides flexible deployment in a single model that supports both internal and external installations. Its sleek industrial design complements indoor décor and includes an indoor mounting bracket, while an IP67-rated ruggedized enclosure withstands harsh outdoor conditions and is engineered for easy installation. Use the internal antennas or connect external antennas using the four SMA ports to handle challenging signal environments. This multi-deployment design simplifies inventory and ensures dependable connectivity across diverse use cases.

## Enhanced Throughput and Advanced Network Capabilities
Equipped with the latest 3GPP Release 17 modem, the W2255 delivers 20% more capacity for enhanced throughput and improved multi-user performance, compared to the W1855 adapter. It supports network slicing for better WAN resiliency and predictability and Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS) for seamless carrier redundancy, enabling robust, predictable connectivity for demanding enterprise and edge deployments. Dual SIM Dual Standby with Dual SIM/eSIM on a single modem enables up to 10x faster carrier failover, maintains standby visibility to prevent degraded handovers, and reduces cost and complexity by avoiding a second modem or antenna—critical as fixed-site networks fluctuate.

## Multi-WAN: 5G Cellular, and LEO Satellite Integration with Ericsson NetCloud
Integrating LEO satellite telemetry into Ericsson NetCloud reduces operational costs and provides centralized visibility and basic control of satellite links. Automatic LEO detection upon satellite provider connection enables automated failover and policy orchestration. NetCloud dashboards display telemetry, simplify bulk configuration, and enforce enterprise-grade SLAs, extending resilient, intelligent Wireless WAN operations beyond terrestrial limits for predictable connectivity in the most challenging environments.

## 5G SA Multi-Slice with URSP — Prioritized, Predictable WAN Performance
5G SA multi-slice capable with URSP, the W2255 enables predictable, prioritized and resilient WAN performance—isolating critical traffic (for example, PoS) from best-effort guest Wi-Fi and supporting carrier-backed SLAs for critical services. Traffic steering maps applications to optimal spectrum (high bandwidth for video/CCTV, low band for PoS/M2M), improving spectrum efficiency, while standards-based URSP simplifies slice provisioning and optimizes performance.

## Notable Features

- Increase the size and types of your WAN use cases with 20% more capacity and 10x faster failover performance with Dual SIM Dual Standby, compared to the W1855 adapter
- Experience the dependability of multi-WAN 5G SA and LEO satellite integrated connections
- Gain carrier-class connectivity using a software-defined modem and integrated multilevel test and recovery utilities
- Deploy an enterprise-class 5G solution with greater simplicity and confidence with the installation applications including Carrier Selection Intelligence and Zero Touch provisioning
- Connect faster than wired links and deploy and manage carrier profiles easily with embedded eSIM
- Securely investigate downed primary links with out-of-band management capabilities
- Manage an Ericsson Cradlepoint router and 5G adapter as one entity for singular control and visibility with captive modem
- Deploy within any existing networking or SD-WAN environment

## 5G SA Support Offers Future-Proof Solutions

The W2255 5GF adapter supports 3GPP Release 17 low- and mid-band 5G spectrum ensuring that organizations have access to the 5G SA technologies. These layers offer a balance of speed, capacity, coverage, and propagation that works with bandwidth-intensive and latency-sensitive use cases. Additionally, this release enhances network slicing, offered by carriers, who can provide multiple virtual networks or slices with their own latency, bandwidth, and security.  This release also provides additional throughput and scheduling enhancements for uplink traffic and optimization features to support AI traffic.

Centralized management with automated or scheduled over-the-air updates and proactive monitoring/alerts are possible in NetCloud, enabling scalable deployment and a consistent security posture. NetCloud is also available in a mobile app as well as the installer application, Verify, that does not require a NetCloud license to install and verify the installation success.

#### Complete Lifecycle Management

Ericsson Enterprise Wireless 5G solutions help enterprises minimize complexity from installation to troubleshooting with tools and features such as the mobile installation application, the captive modem feature, 5G tools that demonstrate 5G service value, and Out-of-Band Management.

#### Intelligent Hybrid WAN Connectivity

NetCloud offers simplified operations at scale for previously un-seeable wireless WAN and LEO networks with greater network resiliency. Ericsson intelligently orchestrates connectivity through a multi-WAN strategy that blends wired, cellular, and non-terrestrial LEO links with deep telemetry, automation, and AIOps.
