Cradlepoint and Extreme Networks Technology Partnership Delivers Winning Integration with LTE and 5G, Wi-Fi, and Fabric

Extending the value of enterprise technology through 5G and LTE Wireless WAN

Businesses need to be more agile than ever to thrive in the pandemic-accelerated digital era. While network resiliency and flexibility have always been table–stake requirements, they have taken on heightened importance in recent years. Faced with distributed work environments and rapidly changing requirements, businesses had to look beyond their traditional enterprise campuses, and quickly extend network connectivity to new sites and remote users. This included, for example, extending connectivity to support remote student learning or enabling pop-up healthcare facilities.

Waiting weeks or months to get ISP connectivity was no longer acceptable; immediate connectivity was needed. Many businesses turned to Wireless Wide Area Networks (WANs) and discovered that not only did they solve their immediate connectivity problems, but they also opened a world of new opportunities, laying the foundation for further transformation and innovation.

They found that not only could LTE and 5G Wireless WANs provide day-1 connectivity to branch/remote locations, but they could also help by extending their value-add enterprise technologies to locations previously unreachable.

The new partnership between Cradlepoint and Extreme Networks is a great example of this. In addition to bringing together complementary technologies that extend from the enterprise LAN to the WAN, it supports the extension of Extreme’s innovative Fabric technology, over the Wireless WAN, to remote locations.

What joint solutions deliver

  • A modernized end-to-end network that leverages the latest technologies including LTE and 5G, Wi-Fi 6/6E, and next-generation Ethernet switching supported by the Extreme Universal Platform.
  • Diversification of connection provider, failover, and enhanced resiliency with LTE and 5G Wireless WAN with Cradlepoint E3000 and E300 Series enterprise routers.
  • Seamless extension of Extreme Fabric technology across the Wireless WAN enabling simple edge-only provisioning, simplified troubleshooting, and enhanced security.

Business resiliency is about providing more options for reliably connecting people, places, and things. The addition of Cradlepoint wireless edge solutions to Extreme campus networking solutions delivers on that by unlocking the power of 5G and LTE cellular to provide boundless reach, nonstop reliability, and real-time agility.
