Cellular solutions for remote video monitoring
Challenge
Many types of organizations use video cameras — on and inside buildings, at traffic intersections, and in many other places — to improve asset protection, site security, and/or public safety. Always-on network connectivity is vital — especially when footage needs to be viewed live. But there’s often no existing wired-line access, limited space inside video camera solution enclosures, and conditions requiring all hardware to be built to withstand extreme conditions.
Solution
Use an Ericsson Cradlepoint solution — including compact, ruggedized IoT routers, usually inside an enclosure, with zero trust networking — to connect video cameras on buildings and other outdoor spaces. The data can be streamed from each spot in real time or stored and offloaded later. With Ericsson NetCloud ZTNA, organizations can extend secure remote access, via a zero trust network, to third parties and employees on an invitation- only basis. This type of right-sized access prevents unwanted lateral movement within the network.
